I won t pretend to know what all those features are and I m sure I don t use half of them, but what I can tell you is that the features I use are very good. I especially like the movie setting. Canon Powershot A580 ... got this for christmas off my mum and dad, and I love it! Its a great camera and a good price. 8megapixels is alot for a camera of this price!!! The camera is small, and so very easy to hold, great for if you are using just the one hand to take the pictures. Its very easy to use, with a small rotating button on top to change the "type of picture" you are wanting to take, whether its portrait , landscape, kids/animals, night etc. The camera has a built in flash and a huge digital screen meaning you can view your pictures in great quality before even putting them near a computer. Nikon D40 ... is the best camera I have ever owned...so far! I have got the photo taking bug and this is the camera that was repeatedly recommended to me. To begin with, the camera is easy to set up. The lens is detachable for easier storage but this is easily dismantled and reattached. To begin with if like me you want to play with the camera before reading the manual, the automatic setting is fantastic.
