Pentax Optio S:
... the old photographer s adage has it: "what s the best camera? It s the one you have with you" - meaning that there s no point in all the DSLR quality in the world if you leave it at home because you don t want to carry the bulk. The Pentax Optio S does not have that problem: it might not have been the very first camera which could reasonably have called itself an ultra-compact, but it was certainly among... Canon Powershot A410 ... Canon PowerShot A410 is perhaps not a camera you would consider nowadays, seeing as it has a resolution of a mere 3.2 megapixels, and in any case the A4xx range is already up to A480! However, if you can find one going cheap - I was lucky enough to grab one from the small ads for a tenner - you might be surprised at how capable it still actually is. It takes two AA batteries and SD memory cards, so neither of those essentials will break the bank. Do use high-capacity NimH rechargeables, though, as alkalines don t last very long! The A410 is quite small, if not down in the ultra-compact end of the market. However, it is not particularly slim, so is not really a camera... Nikon Coolpix 3700 ... cracking little camera. Sturdy rhobust and easy to use. Although only a small sensor by todays standards a great bit of kit for holidays and partys. Good image quality and features such as scene selection with preset levels (spoet for fast shutter speeds, fire work show for slow speeds and close up for flowers and insects) and other key features like movie mode and shooting menu allowing you some creative controle over the camera. A small compact design fitting straight into your trousers or jacket pocket coupled with a stylish finish gives this camera a great feel. All the buttins are easy to use and the menus are easy to understand. Live view and instand playback on t... Read the full review: Great camera by markshaw59 |

Minolta Dimage Xt ... have had this camera for a couple of years now and it has been great the whole time. The only problem is that the battery has degraded over time. This happens when you don t let the battery wear down fully before recharging it. Constantly recharging the battery tires it out even quicker so I can now only have it on for about 10-15 minutes after recharging it fully. The camera I have is silver, but as shown in the image above, you can get a black one too. It s meant to be a compact camera, and it really is. It s just 0.8 x 2.8 x 3.4 inches in dimensions and weighs only 4.2 ounces, which is nothing. It s tiny size and lightweight makes it ideal for carrying around. Alth...
