Konica Minolta Dimage Z10:
... was my first digital camera. I had always used a Minolta SLR 35mm and don t like the little cigarette box size digital cameras. I had tried the smaller digital cameras and think experience of owning SLRs means this style of digital is better. The body of the case is a lot tinnier to touch than I thought it might be, but is light in weight. I m not an expert but it felt good in my hand and the results are pre... Fujifilm Finepix S5000 ... shemegapixels! Yes, you heard me. Here I am, pooh-poohing what seems to have become the zenith feature of digital cameras - the pixel count. You know why? Because I can t really see the difference between a picture taken with a 1mp camera and a 10mp camera - that s why. But ask me if I can see the difference between a 2x zoom and a 10x zoom? Then, yes, the truth is, I certainly can with no doubts whatsoever. And that s why my son was easily able to convince me to buy the Fujifilm FinePix S5000 digital camera - because it not only has a 10x optical zoom, it also has a 2.2x digital zoom, which (if you know your maths) will tell you that this camera can zoom up t... Kodak Easyshare CX 7300 ... Kodak Easyshare CX7300 is, in every sense of the word, cheap and cheerful. I got mine at a very reasonable price (can t remember exactly how much though) about a year ago and it s lasted me without breaking down, losing quality, or so on. The picture quality is really good, it s 3.2 megapixels, and it has a screen on the back so you can view what you re taking pictures of, and ones you ve already snapped too. There s a slot too for MMC cards so you can increase the memory if you so wish. There s even a tripod screwhole and a dock connector port. However, the battery life leaves something to be desired - it runs from two AA s, and these will die on you within a few ... Read the full review: Snap! (but where's Crackle and Pop?) by bill |

Canon Powershot A300 ... won this camera in a draw and didn t bother with it until Christmas. The battery took far too long to charge but that s more down to me being impatient than a problem with the camera. I played with it using the really easy guide, and took some really good pics with it. I use it mostly to take pics of stuff I want to sell on Ebay and they are far better than the mobile phone camera I used before. It s self focusing, and there pretty much looks after itself. If you leave the shutter open too long, it closes. It has automatic timer and different picture modes. Landscape, portrait, night scenes, self portrait and movie. 3.2 megapixel, which I have to say, doesn t m... Read the full review: Easy as chips by BOUNTIFUL77 |
