Samsung Digimax S600 ... bought this camera early on in the year the main reason of the purchase was to take to a festival in june. as we can never get near to the front i needed a camera that could take good photos. one of the best parts of this camera is the speed that it switches on and loads up. i have had many a camera that i have to wait a few seconds to load so i can start taking photos by which point the shot has been missed. with this camera there was none of that it was perfect switch the button 2 seconds later i was ready to take a picture. the zoom on the camera was amazing i was at the back for some of the bands and i could zoom in to the point where i could read the writing on the... Canon EOS 10D ... love my 10D, it is my favourite bit if kit. Sure it is weighty but that s because it is built like a tank and can take things that cheaper plastic Canon s can t. It is definitely built to last. It produces great pics and I find it s controls a lot more instinctive than many other cameras I ve used, they aren t put in silly places and are quick to access (again not like many other cameras where you have to go through a million different screens just to change the ISO). I actually own two now as I shoot weddings and like to keep a different lens on each. I did have a 300D as it is based on the 10D and it s lighter but it just didn t compare. It carries many functions from auto programming to a function that allows you to adjust every element that you want (Focus, light, shutter-speed...). Burst mode and "sport" allow you to take the camera to your favourite sporting events and not worry about whether you will get that prize snap. The flash system is very effective with automatic mode it will detect whether the flash is needed as well as taking out red eye.
