Minolta Dimage 7i:
... bought my Minolta Dimage 7i about 3 years ago, but only started getting really acquainted with it about a year and a half later. I was travelling a lot and I prefer to use film cameras when I travel and for "serious" photographic work, as I provide a couple of Photo Libraries with images, and most of them still prefer slides, although many do accept digital images of high quality and resolution. A big ... Read the full review: A light and reliable companion by librelola |

Konica Minolta Dimage A200 ... bought this camera to replace my 35mm SLR with 28-80 and 70-300mm lenses. I was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the way my pictures came back from the processors; the difficulty of sharing them with family by email; and the weight of all that equipment in a camera bag. However I wanted the look and feel of an SLR and the same control over the picture-taking process. I opted for the KM A200 because of the manual zoom ring, the zoom range (I would have loved a 10 or 12x zoom but the 28 mm wide-angle was more important), the anti-shake (which all the reviews said worked quite well) and the flip out LCD. This last feature was important because I wear bi-focal gla... Read the full review: Can this replace an SLR? by DaveA |

Canon Powershot Pro1 ... setting, special effects, bracketing and flash exposure compensation to be set quickly. The four-way controller offers access to additional setting functions when in shooting mode. Press it upward and exposure compensation becomes available. Press it downward and white balance options appear. The Lens The Pro1's lens is a 7.2 - 50.8mm f/2.2 - 3.5L optic. This is equivalent to 28-200mm in familiar 35mm terms. The big news here is that this is an "L" Series lens, the first time that Canon has applied this designation to any lens other than pro-level lenses for its SLR cameras The lens is provided with the usual petal-shaped lens shade. I'm not... Read the full review: Canon Power shot Pro 1 - What a tool!! by mark1961 |

Minolta Dimage 7 ... me start by saying, this is no camera for the novice. If you're the point n click type person, you might as well stop reading right now. OK, so if you are still reading then I'm assuming you treat your photography quite seriously, you may even class yourself as a semi-pro. The Minolta Dimage 7 isn't a brand new camera (it's been around since about July 2001), but it's worth mentioning as they crop up second-hand a fair bit these days. It's original price in the UK was a staggering £999, but typically expect them to go for around £300 now on Ebay. Even for it's age, the features...
