There are many functions that are customizable as well as pre programmed photo shoot modes you could yuse in different conditions. A feature which I like is the face detection which allows the camera to detect faces and focus the picture around them. The slide up cover feels firm and sturdy and the same goes for the camera as a whole. This camera doesn t feel too bulky at all to hold and carry. Fujifilm Finepix S5800 ... bought this camera 12 months ago for £100 on amazon. The price it is advertised at now is more than double that (£264.99). Therefore, my first recommendation is: WAIT FOR A SPECIAL OFFER! This is an amazing camera. We took it to New Zealand for a month s holiday and we ve taken some of the most spectacular photos I ve ever seen. For example, a perfect shot of a humpback whale breaching about 50 metres away, but because of the 10 x digital zoom, it has come out perfectly. There are numerous settings on the camera, including close up, night view, portrait and snow scene. There is also the option of taking video footage with sound.
