Fujifilm Finepix 50i:
... come out superb even on the lowest setting.
MP3 player is superb. Sounds great. The headphones it comes with are not the best and the remote control isn't too flashy but it does the trick. With a 128MB you can have around 2 whole albums.
Video player is cool too. It records eighty second bursts and you can get a few of the on a 128 card. Cannot see video very well on the 2" display!

Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III ... and 5D. Mark 3 works extrememly well. I will not go back to the other models. Once you have a Mark 3 in your hands, no other camera feels like or works like it that I know of. I take over 100,000 files a year and this camera captures the action and the stills above and beyond. 3200 ISO can print 8 x 10 and higher if need be. The colour is outstanding compared to 12 bit colour. I use the viewfinder for reading my settings of the camera all the time as I change the ISO lots , the shutter speed and the f-stops. The camera experienced focusing, error 99 and other minor details. Canon replaced the camera without question. The new camera (blue dot) works like a charm. So muc... It is also a good function to use when capturing things in motion such as a bird in flight, kids at play or even perhaps motorbikes or cars if you are at race events, used on the highest shutter speed you will be able to capture great motion shots without blur over and over again. Nikon D80 ... in quality. If you're considering buying on of these, I assume you'e already read about DSLRs in general, and I guess you'll be looking at this, probably a Canon EOS and possibly a Sony. I chose the Nikon because, although it's heavier, it is a better build quality [unless you move up to the EOS 30D, which is much pricier]. Realistically, they will all give very good results, and unless you're a serious pro, you might not see the difference (I'm sure I wouldn't!)]. At the end of the day, you need to pick them up and see how they feel for you. Battery life is excellent, will easily shoot 500 shots outside [I don't use the flash much, so can't comment on that].
