Canon Digital Ixus 85 IS Collection ... is a great compact point and shoot camera. Make no mistake, this is not for the professional photographer as the lack of manual modes will be frustrating to say the least. For the beginner or as a small camera just to take everywhere- its a great camera. The simple menu system using the circle scroll wheel (very much like the ipod) makes changing options very easy. These presets, such as landscape, portrait, macro very quick and easy. The flash is also very easily turned off in each mode with a single button press. It also has a high iso setting which although might help get the image- soon as you get back to your pc, you might feel disappointed. The amount of noise ... Fujifilm Finepix J150w ... I received one of these for christmas, and my first impressions were great. As you pull it out of the box, it s a great looking camera. The buttons are clearly labelled and you can see that it s made from some real tough stuff. At the end of the day, it is a budget camera and great value for money. The pictures are relatively clear, except for in dark conditions where the colours seem to contrast, even with the flash. I am glad it came with optical zoom, as the image does not become pixelated although this feature does not seem to work whilst in video mode. He told me that he has this model and that he uses it frequently. So, I bought this one in the black. I have been so happy with this camera - it is so easy to use and takes a good picture.
