Canon Powershot G9 ... really is an enthusiast/Prosumer compact camera. I had to give this camera full marks as when reviewed as how it is intended to be used it really is unbeatable. some reviews are very negative of this camera but 9 times out of 10 they are comparing it (unfairly) to digital SLR s. IMO, its a great compromise between a true compact camera and an SLR. Honestly it isnt really small enough to be classed as true compact, however it is small....ish, I find it easy to fit in my jacket (not my jeans) pocket. So whilst not slim, it is MUCH smaller than an SLR! The MAnual setting are superb, I was very impressed by the usability of the manual jog wheel on the rear of the camer... Canon Digital Ixus 960 IS ... bought this in november last year from Dubai where i halted for a week before going to India, i bought it for approx £185 which compared to the price overe here in london is quite cheap. This 12 mega pixel camera just caught my eyes as i was loooking for a good digi cam and i most of the times i prefer cannon. So i bought it after seeing the features of this lovely camera. It has 2.5 inch LCD Screen, it has image stabilizer technology which helps in when your camera shake a bit. It has Optical zoom lens, there are differect scenes modes which is good, so which in itself is good so that you can try different scenes to click your images, this camera can be used for prof... Nikon D300 ... Nikon D300 will currently set you back around £1000 in the UK, and that s without the glass on the front. My review here might seem technical to some, but that s not an amount of money most people part with lightly. I don t apologise for putting some basic spec in the review, after all, if you re considering buying this camera, it s exactly what you need to know before getting out your wallet. If you re after a camera that will take good quality pictures, and allow you minimal chance to alter the settings, then there are other cameras out there that will offer you better value for money.
