Sony a (alpha) DSLR-A200W ... like me you just love taking pictures but arent au-fait with all the technical terms surrpunding photography, and you are wondering which camera is best look at this camera again. My sister is a photographer and knows her stuff and I just have this as my hobby. My knowledge is basic but I wanted a decent SLR and on reading lots of reviews I thought this sounded like the one for me. On receiving it I realised that maybe I had bitten off more than I can chew. However, the Sony instruction booklet is like a bible for budding photographers. It explains all the functions in easy to understand language, and if all else fails their website is fantastic. Sony a (alpha) DSLR-A200K ... Sony Alpha 200k is a nice piece of kit for the first time DSLR buyer. When compared to the Canon and Nikon DSLR market theres no comparison on price and quality as nothing in this price range can beat it (the olympus entry level DSLR with pancake lens to me isnt a true entry level DSLR) and unless you want to spend £100 more for the Canon EOS 450D nothing can touch it. If you have never used a DSLR or an SLR then the first thing to note is its not simple by any means, but luckly enough theres a full Auto setting. The size of the camera is average for a DSLR and everythings where you would expect it to be. Build quality is a bit of a worry as it feels solid enough ... Sony a (alpha) DSLR-A100KB ... fantastic camera for a first time user. The easy to menu and functions are great and the 10.2 mega pixle sensor pcks up so much detail. Coupled with a few choice lenses from ebay and other places you can kit your self up for a few hundred quid. Using the back catalogue of minolta lenses for a fraction of the cost of new sony lenses makes sence for the cost savy. Quality shots at low ISO (lo80 to 400) and only slightly lacking in the high making the alpha a great starter. I have used this camera on location and in the studio and it performs great.
