this little camera is amazing. i got it the beginning of this year because i didnt know how to use my canon EOS-45OD properly and i really wanted to take pictures with out the hassel. the piture quilty is fantastic, i personally think its better than the canon EOS-45OD. its size is perfect for a handbag or pocket, is so easy to print pictures off and see them on the 2 inch screen. The zoom is great for every day use and the picture still staying crisp when your zoomed in. i hope this helps and this camera has changed my life because is so easy to use and light so i can take it every where i go.

It was definitely a good choice for what I wanted. The price did make me nervous. Recently got a new Ixus 100 IS, in red (took a bit of time choosing but decided I liked the red the best), to replace an older Ixus 4.0. Love the compact size and slimness, easily fits into a jeans pocket (front pocket), so easy to have with you when travelling around or going out. I have struggled to take macro pictures with it so far, but that could be as much of my photography skills (lack of) and not reading the manual.

A tip: when just taking normal photos, select a lower resolutlion / lower pixel, you won't always need the full 12 m.p. Makes file sizes smaller for downloading to computer and emailing on etc.
