I bought my Ixus 60 two Februarys ago with Christmas money from family as a small take anywhere camera to make sure I didn't miss any amusing photo opportunities of my daughter. In general, I would say we are more of an SLR family. I learnt to take pictures on a battered old Praktica LTL3 and my husband has built up an extensive collection of SLRs over many years. So when the first digital SLRs which were marketed at amateur photographers came out, we snapped one up. We have since upgraded to a Canon 30D which we take on holiday and have taken some wonderful pictures. I give you this background simply so that you understand what I am using my Ixus 60 for. Not for taking ... Read the complete review

I got my Canon Ixus 60 back in March 07, just in time to watch my beloved Newcastle at St James Park! Despite the fact I was sat up in the heavens of the stand, clarity of the players and the ball was second to none. I wanted to buy a camera to create memories. I remember going to a friends student house and seeing literally hundreds of pictures of her friends, family and general good times on her wall. I was pretty envious that I didn't have anything to capture such memories. I worked at Currys at the time and had to the chance to 'test drive' many compact cameras, including the Sony Cybershots. There was something in particular about the feel of ... Read the complete review

This camera is one of the best available in the markets. The speed at which pictures can be taken is incredible. Those nights out when you want to quickly take pictures. Turn it on, hold down take photo button and less than a second later you have your picture. The screen to view pictures easily gets scratched but this has not effected the screen greatly and everything can still be seen clearly even with the scratches. The memory slot allows different memory cards to be placed into the camera making the user decide how many photos they can take. The camera offers options to take different size pictures and informs the user how many photos can be ... Read the complete review

The Canon IXUS series provides one of the most stylish range's of camera on the market. It is super slim which is fabulous for carying around in even the teeniest of handbags for the ladies , and the stainless steel housing looks sleek and polished. All this and the quality from the IXUS 60 far out weighs some of its previous models, it has a great sized super quality screen on the back and as per most Canons the zoom and flash is excellent. The only downfall I can find with this product is the appalling memory card it is provided with. It does not take the standard memory card that comes with most other modeks but the SD card which holds about a whole 8 photos so be ... Read the complete review

This is my first digital camera and I want a simple point and shoot camera. The Ixus 60 certainly fullfills this criteria and even my young children are happy using it and can take good pictures. The camera starts up fast, there is no noticeable shutter lag and it even takes great video. combined with a 1GB SD card it is a dream to use. The supplied software makes managing your photos on the computer a breeze and the way little thumbnails are produced is great for finding the pictures you ... Read the complete review
