The compact Canon Ixus 65 is quite a reasonable size for its specification and functions. Its styling features are quite modern with sleek styling and a zen approach, which does make the camera aesthetically pleasing.

The camera is a 5.9 megapixel with 3x zoom, which is quite standard. Since these cameras are usually suited to taking the occasional photo, which means it is not ideal to be used to zoom over long distances to take photos. The amount of megapixels is decent for printing the photo on reasonably large sizes. Overall, the image quality is quite good with quite good image sharpness whilst still no having a huge amount of noise. The camera also allows you to take videos which are quite clear and reasonable.

The display screen is quite sharp and clear, the flash may look small, but it is effective. The battery stamina is quite good. Like any camera, there is a shutter delay of about 0.3 of a second, which is quite good for a camera in this size. Therefore, you won't need to worry about missing a photo opportunity with this camera, especially where every second counts.

Other than the standard features and settings, you can't change settings such as shuttle speed, aperture and manual focus. To use this camera, you would literally need to have hands like a tripod, especially because it does not have any type of image stabiliser functions.

Summary: This is quite a nice camera in a compact package for the occasional photographer or a beginner
