I bought this little beauty before embarking on a backpacking adventure for four months. Obviously I wanted to document this trip and so invested a lot of time in finding what I hoped would be the right camera for the job. After reading countless reviews I narrowed it down to a few cameras, but the Ixus 70 was the only one for the me.

With regards to its construction, the camera is sturdy, being made out of metal. I like that I don't have to worry about it breaking. It also looks professional being both sleek and slim.
With regards to picture quality I can't fault it. Pictures taken on this camera have won me photography competitions against digital slrs. There are a wide range of settings to ensure that you capture the image that you want to capture, although a few of these are rather well hidden amongst the settings. If I have any qualms about this camera it's that it can take a bit of time to work out all of the intricacies, but in general its ready to pick up and go.
Needless to say, I love this camera and think that for the price it's fantastic value for money.

Summary: A great value camera that won't let you down.
