Advantages: Everything!!

Disadvantages: smaller screen than new cameras but nothing to worry about

The canon Digital Ixus 70 is the most robust pocket size digital camera i have ever owned. This product is slightly heavier than most but that is reasuring as you know its well made. The 7.1mp is ample and picture quality is good until you reach the far end of the digtial zoom where obvious noise starts to appear on the image. The camera suffers slightly from vignetting but i only noticed after purchasing a DSLR and seeing the quality from that.

The menu is well laid out and easy to navigate. You get lots of options to play about with and chaning exposure values, scene modes and ISO setting are fairly simple and make you feel comfotable enough to change them at speed so you dont miss a perfect picture moment.

The battery life of the camera is good and can last around two days walking around a city and taking lots of pics. Lithium Battery is something i could not do without.

The viewing screen now seems small compared to rival cameras but this is still good quality.

This is a sleek and sophisitcated camera which is an old model now but still stands out from the rest. Remember you dont really need over 3.5mp to print out A4 prints perfectly so dont be worried thats its not as high as 12mp cameras out there now.
