The canon Digital Ixus 70 is the most robust pocket size digital camera i have ever owned. This product is slightly heavier than most but that is reasuring as you know its well made. The 7.1mp is ample and picture quality is good until you reach the far end of the digtial zoom where obvious noise starts to appear on the image. The camera suffers ... Read the complete review

I bought this little beauty before embarking on a backpacking adventure for four months. Obviously I wanted to document this trip and so invested a lot of time in finding what I hoped would be the right camera for the job. After reading countless reviews I narrowed it down to a few cameras, but the Ixus 70 was the only one for the ... Read the complete review

When you first look at the Canon Ixus 70, its square styled body, might not be the best styling for some. But it is a love or hate camera, even for those who don't like its aesthetic appearance they would be impressed with its performance. But the modern styling does appeal to a certain degree. One of its advantages is definitely the ... Read the complete review

This is the first and only digital camera I have owned and it has worked fantastically well for me. I have to admit to not knowing much about photography but this camera has been very easy to use and allowed me to take some great quality pictures. I have owned it for 2 years now and took it with me whilst backpacking around the world ... Read the complete review

I know so many people with this camera and thats because it is so good! For an affordable camera it really does take great shots even if you don't have a clue about photography. For the everyday person its simple to use and won't let you down as a point and shoot camera but at the same time if you want to be a bit more technical and ... Read the complete review

It is fair to say, that this is probably not the prettiest camera i've, or you've ever likely seen. It's a slimline, palm sized compact, plain looking, with an uninspiring conventional look, which in my opinion is quite drab! The camera has a relatively small 2.5" (inch) true colour screen on the back! Wow that's small. An ... Read the complete review

I bought this camera as I needed a new camera fast! It takes sd memory cards which is a plus as these are the cheapest ones to buy. The camera itself is very competitively priced for the size and features. It is a small camera suitable for your handbag or pocket on nights out and not too heavy either. The camera at first I found quite fiddley to ... Read the complete review

Canon's Ixus 70 is a superb little camera. Its superior function, accompanied by such elegant design, really sets the Ixus apart from its many rivals in a similar price bracket. So... The +ves Performance is great - at 7 megapixels, you can be sure to retain detail when you blow images up or zoom in. Images are crisp, ... Read the complete review

Absolutely great camera, may well purchase it again if this one broke or was stolen, but it has two minus points:
1) sunsets and other bright lights may produce a vertical through the brightest spot. My Canon EOS 300D does not have this problem at all;
2) video shoots are OK-ish, as long as you don't zoom - the quality is really bad when you zoom in!
I recently found out I could use Hi ISO and no flash in in-door settings to improve the natural look of the pictures. Very good!
