Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS (Canon Digital Ixus 80 IS)

Advantages: Slim, easy to use great for point & press pictures on the go Disadvantages: The extra's you need to pay for to make it a fully functioning camera If you are after a point & shoot camera which is for family use & carrying around in your bag this is the one for you. I'm no camera buff but I do take lots of photo's of my growing brood & generally taking pictures of anything & everything. I also do occasionally ebay and I find this a great all rounder. It isn't much bigger than my mobile phone & has a great viewing sceen, the auto focus onto faces that are moving is a great feature, there is a much shorter 'press' delay then on my old IXUS (which frustrated me beyond compare) which is great for catching those special moments with kids & babies. You can alter many aspects of the camera from pixallation to colour brightness but I need the manual for stuff like that. The picture quality is excellant though close focus is a bit tricky usually best to stand back & zoom up to get a better clarity. Its easy to upload photo's through the cap covered USB.Easy to review & erase photo's.The video aspect is also very easy to use & handier than carrying a normal camcorder but obviously uses up the memory very quickly if you do loads.Disappointing that no case or wristband comes with camera as its not a cheapy plus you need to invest in a decent memory card (extra cost). The battery life is quite good & recharges quite quickly. I love it as a camera for a mummy on the run who loves snapping the family. Summary: Great all round point & press family camera worth the money so easy to use - GET ONE
