I love taking photos. I'm more of an everyday photographer more than an expert. I first had the Canon IXUS 80 IS as a Christmas present a few years ago. As soon as I powered it up...i found it extremely easy to use and didnt even read the instructions until a few days after because i found operating the camera was almost like second nature because of the buttons which are easy to see and because the design of the camera and the menu functions were designed in a simple and classic way.

This camera has many functions such as macro, the ability to lighten or darken skin colour (which i was a big fan of, being quite pale) and red eye correction, amongst many other features. Its also possible to enhance pictures and I believe that the quality of the images taken is very high, given that 8mp isnt that many mega pixels when it comes to digital cameras.

This canon camera is very small and compact and whenever id be on a night out or on holiday, the camera would constantly be strapped to my wrist because taking pictures with this camera was so easy because of the quick start up and the ability to take lots of images in a limited amount of time.

Im sad to admit, that Ive had 4 of these cameras, but only because of my actions. The first 2 got dropped (by other people), i left one on a bus stop and the last fell in the sea in vietnam while i was kayaking!! The only reason why I dont have another canon IXUS 80 IS is because my boyfriend bought me a sony. (i prefer the canon...but dont tell him ;-)
