Advantages: cute and compact

Disadvantages: sometimes shutter lag is bad

Canon ixus I zoom. I adore this camera so much a big fan of my sister's canon ixus I the 4.0 mega pixel version which also took excellent pictures. I wanted a very tiny camera that is light weight and easy to carry around. This is great to put in your handbag, as it is tiny as a mobile phone.

The I zoom is an upgrade of their ixus I, the 5.0 mega pixel camera that does not have zoom. This has 10 zoom, 2.5 optical and digital zoom altogether is 10x zoom.

I brought this camera for under £200 on pixmania website; it comes with a docking station and a little remote control. If you connect the docking station to the TV you can view and use your remote to control the pictures displayed on your TV. This also came with a 16mb mmc card and a wrist strap. I had to buy my own leather case but that was easy to pick up from eBay.

First impression I was impressed it was much smaller then the pictures I have seen, of course I went to the shops where it was sold and actually mucked about with it.
This camera comes in other colours but I chosen black because it looked classier, with the silver around the lens.
The back has a switch to change between play, video and shooting mode, and has the following buttons zoom in and out, direct print, and menu.

This camera takes excellent close up pictures and has different shooting modes like, manual, macro, portrait, landscape, night snapshot, my colours and a multi shooting mode. I have tested most of these modes, it can even shot kids and pets running about, nice feature or you do a colour swap of what clothes you're wearing. The macro takes excellent detail close ups of anything it is really clear.
You can use stitch mode to take paromanic shots, but I always fail to make it look good.

I use the auto mode most of the time as you just point and shoot, this camera has an Intelligent Orientation Sensor which knows when you're taking pictures horizontal or vertical. If you tilt it vertical you can use one of the set buttons to take pictures.

Overall its gets top marks an excellent camera that is small and compact but also takes exceeding good pictures. The quality of print is very good. I had many people admiring my camera saying how nice it looks.

Summary: cute small fits in your jeans pocket the size of a mobile phone
