Advantages: Lightweight, Easy to use, Great Price

Disadvantages: Small LCD Screen and doesn't self clean the sensor.

This camera is excellent for a photography enthusiast who wants to learn the ins and outs of digital SLRS without spending a fortune. The camera is easy to carry around as it's quite small and lightweight, this also means the buttons are smaller than some of the other digital SLRS on the market, but this is great especially for a female who has smaller hands and may find larger SLRS hard to handle. There are so many features on the camera, but also there are automatic settings for people who want to keep it simple. The quality of the images are fantastic. I have been using this camera for three years now and have just moved onto a Canon 40D as I've moved in to the industry on a more professional level. I would highly reccommend the 350D as it is hard wearing, versatile and fairly simple to use. The only downside I would say is the LCD screen is fairly small compared to a lot of other cameras on the market. Overall a fantastic camera for the price for any camera enthuisast/student/amateur photographer.

Hi Colin,

Thanks for your help, I now see i've missed loads of information out that I myself look at in reviews when shopping around for a camera! I will go back and edit this soon as i'm a new member and have been a bit blonde in my writing of reviews :)

I'll have a look at this tonight and sort out all the technical info for it.

Cheers, Katie

A nice little write up on a good starter level DSLR but a good bit more info is needed really.

There is so much involved in choosing a DSLR as I am sure you know, so really you have barely touched the sides with this review.

Adding things like the ISO range available on the camera, whether it has live view or not, is the vibration reduction built into the camera or the lenses and even just simple things like the megapixels and the price of the unit would make the review much more useful.

I hope you do not take this as criticism it is just meant as advice!

Colin (guide for photography).
