Great budget beginner (Canon EOS 1000D)

I have owned this camera for approx 2-3 months and i cant fault this at all. I am a beginner photographer and it does me down to the ground. I bought this from Argos at the time with the lens package for a very VERY reasonable price. think it was £340 but not sure.
At the time i was considering this or the 450D which was an extra 150 quid and to be honest im glad i went with the cheaper. Just gave me a chance to buy extras for it. The interface is easy to read on the camera, you know exactly how to change settings and know exactly what to press. Software is alright although i have only used it to import RAW files at the moment.

I previously used the 400D and i personally preferred that. The body feels the same but it feels less plasticky but that is the only difference.

Summary: if you are in the market seriously consider!
