Canon EOS 350D ... CF, Microdrive - black / Switch to the future with the EOS 350D Digital and take your creativity to a new dimension. Compact, lightweight and intuitive; delivering results to captivate the most discerning audience.

The EOS 350D Digital employs Canon's acclaimed CMOS technology, for outstanding image quality and 8.0 Megapixel resolution. Always be primed for the next shot with responsive 3 frame per second, 14 frame burst performance and instant 0.2 second start up time. Powerful DIGIC II architecture taken from Canon's pro-series cameras ensures no compromise on sophisticated, effective and super-fast image processing.

7 auto focus points are distributed across the frame for fast, accurate focusing, even with off-center subjects. Lock focus before the shot with One Shot AF, or switch to AI Servo AF for predictive tracking of moving subjects - great for wildlife and sports photography.

The powerful pop-up flash offers plenty of lighting flexibility. E-TTL II distance-linked flash reads lens distance information and ambient light for accurate flash metering: perfect for recomposed shots and difficult reflections. The camera is compatible with the entire EX Speedlite flash range, including the Speedlite 580EX, which transmits color temperature information for improved color stability.

The EOS 350D Digital is compatible with more than 60 Canon EF lenses, including Canon's EF-S lenses. Built with the EOS 350D Digital photographer in mind, the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM and EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM cover an exciting range of popular focal lengths, while the EF-S 60mm f/2.8mm Macro USM lens lends a new dimension to the world of insects and plants.

Before shooting, choose to optimize JPEG images either for direct printing or post processing. For ultimate flexibility, JPEG and RAW images write simultaneously. Canon's Digital Photo Professional RAW image processing software gives you post-shoot control over valuable RAW images.

A USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface ensures rapid image uploads and fast direct printing. Once connected directly to any PictBridge compatible printer, simply hit the 'Direct Print' button for an instant print of the displayed image; automatically sized and correctly aligned. The EOS 350D Digital takes both CF and CF-II cards, including cards of over 2GB capacity.

... so convenient. The rest of my family love it too because using it is as simple or as complicated as you want to make it. Picture quality is great. If you've used canon before all the buttons will be familiar. I really can't think of any negative things to say about it. It's fairly light and compact, handy enough that you can stick it on program and just pick it up and shoot with great results, but there is plenty of scope for more serious photographers to experiment. My friend who is a complete novice when it c...more

Premium Review Canon EOS 350D: Excellent personal Digital SLR (142 words)

Rating:

Small, light and compact, this camera makes for an ideal personal D-SLR. It's an excellent cross over point for those that want more from their camera than a compact can give them, but are not in the market for a professional D-SLR. Mine has seen a lot of use since I first got it and the only complaint that I now have is that the scroll wheel that is used for adjusting the metering and shutter speed has become very stiff. My LCD display has gained a few scratches along the way, so a cover like Nikon provide would be a very useful option. Using the faster CF cards allows for around 20 continious shots before it starts to slow making it excellent for moving targets, ...

Crowned Review A picture's worth a thousand words (2639 words)

My brother bought this, the Canon EOS 350D and after seeing the exceptional results I couldn't help but have a play round with it (all in the name of research!) HANDLING ************** Picking the camera up for the first time, it's easy to feel the difference between this and it's predecessor the Canon Eos 300D. It now feels more robust, slightly lighter and more compact. Infact one of the first things I noticed about this camera was how small it was. It is bigger than your regular digital camera but for these kind of professional ones it's small enough for even me with my tiny hands to operate easily. The rubber grip is harder and the mode ...

Premium Review Canon EOS 350D: Now I feel more at home (637 words)

A trip to the local Friern Barnet fair, where I could not get to the front of the audience did it for me. My usual Canon S50, which has served me faithfully for two years could not cope with the distance or framing, and I gave in. I cashed in my loyalty points from a credit card, and went to John Lewis, which has a deal, whilst not the best, is not the worst (and we are still arguing over 'never knowingly undersold'. I have had two Canon film SLR's in the past, and if you have too, then things will feel familiar. The camera kit came with a fairly plasticy 19-55mm lens (equivalent to about 28-75 in old speak), and a 1GB CF card. I chose the Canon EOS 350 ...
