Disadvantages: Multishot speed?

I've had this camera for the last 18months. It is my first digital SLR and I am hugely impressed with it. Being someone who's never used a digital SLR before it has plenty of automatic settings that can be used for the point and shoot user as well as plenty of features for the semi proffessional or more advanced photographer once you've learned to use it. Because of this, it makes this camera perfect for both novice and advanced users.

The pictures i've taken are nothing short of fantastic on this camera. With the option to take different levels of JPEG or Raw photos you can manage the size and quality of photos to your needs and memory space and even at ISO 1600 i've had very little graining in the photos. It has a multishoot feature which is useful for those action shots although I have found it's not quite as fast as I would like but this is probably due to it being one of the entry level cameras.

I've used the camera in very wet and very dry conditions, very cold -6c and also very hot 40c+ and it's never missed a beat. The battery is also good for 400+ shots and is very quick to charge. Less than 2 hours normally! The canon software supplied is excellent for a novice user and for minor editing work although proffessionals will need a more powerful piece of software.

The camera is relatively light and easy to hold and being a canon camera there are a huge number of lenses and accessories for all types of users available for these cameras.

It is a sound buy for any entry level SLR user but should not be ignored by the more advanced user. It does everything the vast majority of users will need and does them extremely well!
