Canon 400D (Canon EOS 400D)
Member Name: Ruthiec
Advantages: Light and easy to use! Disadvantages: Kit lens is a bit soft in focus
Before embarking on a Photography Course at University I needed to invest in a Digital SLR. Being used to Canon cameras I opted for the Canon 400D, it was also the cheapest I could find on a £500 budget. A photographer friend of mine suggested that I spend more money on a camera then or I would regret it later, and to tell you the truth, although I have got some magic shots with the 400D I do wish I had splashed out on a more expensive SLR that would see me through my photography career a bit longer than this one has. Summary: Good starter SLR, but not so good if you want to be a professional photographer
