Disadvantages: bulky if you just want to take snaps

I bought this camera about 2 years ago. It has been fantastic. It is a good price for an amateur, or entry level digital SLR camera. The camera body is easy to hold and not too heavy which is important if you do not intend to work with a tripod much.
I have used the camera to take many portrait pictures, and also landscapes, and close up plants and flowers. As yet I have not really used too many of the non-automatic functions, but the times I have tried out different options I have found them easy to use and the pictures came out great.
I now have 3 different lenses for the camera, the one that came with it is great for most things, but I also have a large telephoto lens, and also a lens off of one of my standard SLR cameras. They are quick and easy to change.
I have also used the camera in a semi-professional capacity and found that the pictures where good enough quality for this, however, I would recommend getting one of canons higher level cameras if you want to go down the professional route!
