I purchased the EOS 450D during a visit to the United States, they call it the Canon Rebel XSI over there. It was my first Digital Single Lens Reflex camera (DSLR) and as such I was nervous of choosing the right model, particularly with the expense involved. I should have not worried, the Canon EOS 450D with its range of settings, is accessible to both New and more experienced photographers, it can act as a point and shoot and will automate the whole process, producing better shots than a standard DSLR, but at the same point, you can begin to tinker with aspects such as Exposure length, Lighting, Focal Points. As with any SLR camera, the body only represents part of the quality of the photographer, in addition to a good body, you should pair the camera with a good lens, Canon offer their White Lens, which are of professional grade, and believe me, the difference between these and the standard lenses is noticeable.
