Advantages: An all rounder.

Disadvantages: The weight.

The Canon EOS 5D Mark II has a wonderful 5616x3744 image size, which is hard to believe, 16x20 prints with no interpolation what so ever.
There are three fully configurable custom camera settings.
It's not restricted to just one RAW + JPEG combination which is always handy.
It's very easy to create HD movies. And manual focus in movie mode isn't a problem.
There's defiantly a good mix of pro and semi-pro features. Canon claims Canon EOS 5D Mark II is the smallest full frame digital camera. Small it may be, light it is not. This camera is pretty heavy.
Not really sure why the Creative Auto mode is on this camera.
Unless the camera is on a tripod, using the Set button to start and stop taking movies is awkward.
It is so easy to set the Canon EOS 5D Mark II Custom C1-C3 settings to Live View, Movie View, Auto bracketing. Or any other favourite combination.
Although it is easy to take HD movies with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, actually using the movies at the 1080p resolution is another story. Editing HD movies requires a high powered computer and rather good software.

Summary: Most probably the best quality camera known to me.
