I have only two cons, and these are: video clip is limited to 30 seconds (but if you use DV camera for clips and Digital camera for pictures this really is NO problem), and other one is a little slow shooter (it takes about a second between click and taking a picture). Also I've used cameras that can be more amateur than A510 - what I mean is: You need some steady hand and a bit of setting up to get extra quality pics - while some other cameras don't need anything at all, just push trhe button....more |

Don't be fooled with headline. This camera is not obsolete. Nor will be anytime soon. It is just not being produced any more. I've had this camera for more than a year now, and I must say that it is worth every cent I gave for it . . . 3.2 Mpix is more than enoug for any amateur (such as I am) and/or family usage. I even dropped it few times, and it still works as a swiss watch. Lenses are excelent, there are few that can compare quality of lenses in this category with Canon A510.
