Great camera for the price (Canon Powershot A60)

Advantages: idiot proof, excellent pictures, great value

Disadvantages: small memory card, bigger/heavier than some

I found it very difficult to decide which digital camera to buy as it is hard to get to see actual photos taken by the camera you are considering. In the end I took a chance and bought this one. It is "only" 2 million pixels but, be assured, the picture quality is great unless you want to blow things up to stick them on a bus stop..... It has loads of features that I have not figured out yet but works very well on auto mode - idiot proof really. As usual with digital cameras you have the added expense of a decent size memory card and rechargeable batteries but at £99 for the camera from Amazon I could afford the camera case as well ! It is bigger than these teeny weeny credit card size cameras you can get but this means it is easier for big clumsy fingers to use, harder to lose and it takes ordinary sized AA batteries - although they do have to be industrial strength or rechargeable.
