Advantages: Ease Of Use
Disadvantages: Slightly bulky
I borrowed this camera from my brother for a Christening that we were invited to this weekend, what an excellent camera. I found it easy to use and more importantly easy to take good quality photographs so much so I don't want to give it back!
This particular model has a 2G flash memory card but the camera is supplied straight from the box with a only a 16MB card. I needed to install the cameras software onto my computer so my brother supplied me with the complete box. The camera comes with the usual software to instal onto your PC which will enable you to transfer your photos from camera to PC. You also receive a USB transfer cable, arm strap and of course an instruction manual. I had no problems loading the software onto our PC and transfering photos was very easy, just plug the camera into the USB cable and follow the instructions. One of the things that I really like about this camera is the 2in LCD screen which turns in all directions enabling you to hold the camera in all different positions but still be able to see the screen. With this camera you can also try your hand at making your own high quality movies with sound track - there is fast frame mode at 60 frames per second (QVGA), standard at 30 fps (VGA) and compact e-mail mode (QQVGA). Overall all I need from a digital camera is something easy to use and a camera that takes good quality photos making this camera perfect for me.
Summary: Good quality camera for reasonable price.

thebigc1690 - 05/05/08 A decent camera review but it could have been more useful by adding a little about the settings on the camera. It usually is a big thing to people looking to buy a camera to know what pre set settings it has and to what extent the user can change the settings themselves. As the guide for photography I am more than happy to give you a few tips on reviewing cameras and other photography related products if you wish. Feel free to mail me. - Colin |
