Advantages: many features great profesional quality pictures Disadvantages: size and weight
My First impression of this camera the size and weight as its not as slim lined and light as other cameras of this type. For start the dimensions are 2.6" x 4.1" x 2.0" (66 x 105 x 49 mm) very similar to that of a 35mm camera from the late 90s early 2000s and weight is around 8.3 oz. (235 g). The weight issue is partly due to the camera being powered by four standard AA batteries. Although weight is not always a bad thing as I find it can help to reduce camera shake whilst taking pictures without a tripod. Weight and size aside this battle ship grey camera is well set out and looks good too. The A620 actually feels at home in your hands as it has an Integrated grip witch gives for extra comfort and a steadier grip whilst taking those all important photos. Another important feature to mention is the 2inch vary angle screen witch can twist and rotate to the front of the camera so you can shoot from almost any angle, and with the built in image orientation sensor your images will always appear the correct way up. The button lay out is very accessible and within constant reach of your fingers and thumbs. A jog wheel on the top of the camera located just behind the handgrip is used to change your photo modes (portrait, landscape ect) this is within easy reach of your right thumb so no awkward fumbling to find buttons. Just relax and capture that moment by depressing the shutter button witch is located on the top right above the hand grip. Summary: excelent picture quality
