Bought this camera for my 18th birthday in 2006 and it's still my favourite camera from all the ones that I've owned or extensively played with. I have very high quality pictures taken with this camera and if I wouldn't have dropped it on the floor three years ago I would still happily use it today.
It had good resolution, which is acceptable even in 2011, decent zoom ( 4x), it operates really fast, it takes amazing amazing macro photos. My favourite thing thought was probably the vari-angle screen. I could easily take pictures of crowds, pictures from ground level without sitting soldier-like, take pictures to my sides without people knowing or self-portraits which in the end didn't look like self portraits. Video mode produces good films. It has a lot of pre-set modes, available on the upper wheel, which makes it easy to use my anyone.
It uses 4 batteries and this along with the vari-angle screen make it a rather bulky, but it has an easy grip since it curves out and the shutter button is just on the curve.
The viewfinder is almost useless, since the error on it is about 50%.
It has some higher-end features, it can shoot in RAW mode with some easy to find software, and it can be used together with a lot of accessories and lenses to create really good quality pictures.
