Powershot A70 - Problems (Canon Powershot A70)

Disadvantages: Lens cover shutters fail, Poor redeye reduction

Firstly, the niggles... Just before the end of the standard 12 month warranty period, the shutters covering the lens failed to open fully. Also, redeye reduction is noticeably poor, but being a digital camera, you can always correct this via software.
However, the picture quality is otherwise excellent. Have just returned from Disneyland Paris where my camcorder ran out of battery power - the Powershot A70's movie mode came in REALLY useful and gives quite acceptable moving snapshots! A lifesaver!! My wife has poor grip strength and finds thecamera's shape better for holding it (due to the bulge where the batteries go).
Buy this camera - other than the shutter problem (which Canon will fix) it's been a really good investment.
