Advantages: Good quality, simple to use but full of features
Disadvantages: No case
You expect a lot from Canon and this digital camera doesn’t let you down. I was attracted to its compact size and weight (although it isn’t as small as the Canon Ixus) and its 2.1m pixels. We have taken some great photos with it. I will describe some of its features: - -An optical and digital zoom -Red-Eye reduction lamp -LCD Monitor can be turned off to save battery life -Easy simple operation -Optional Auto mode- camera selects most of the settings -Manual mode where compression, resolution, exposure compensation and white balance can be selected -Large, Middle, or Small resolution- Lg=1600x1200 pixels -3 image quality settings -Special modes for e.g. night scenes -Stitch assist mode for ‘stitching’ together panorama images -Focus lock -Replay images and then either delete them or protect them from accidental deletion -Can be powered by lithium battery, rechargeable battery pack, or AC adapter -Supplied with cable to connect to TV for Slide Shows -Will connect to PC or Mac by either USB or serial cable -Adobe PhotoDeluxe and Canon Powershot Solution software CD Roms included Although this camera has many features, it is very simple to use. It comes with two great manuals, one on camera use, and the other for the installation and use of the software. The only downside is that it did not come with a case included (although this appears standard with Digital Cameras). I am still trying to get hold of one, so I don’t know how much this will cost. I would recommend this camera to anyone.
