Introduction This is a review of the 'Canon Powershot S5 is' which was Canon's top of the range bridge camera until the recent introduction of the 'Powershot SX10 is & SX1 is' models. When it comes to cameras, I like Canon, so it was no surprise to anyone when I bought the Canon PowerShot S5 IS in October 2007. This camera has been in the spotlight for some time now, and I have to say that it really disappointed me. The reason for that is the fact that it is not useful. The weight of it its just too much and the options/extras are as good as most of the cameras on the market right now. It is pretty expensive for this kind of product. All in all I had this camera for over 4 months and its not satisfying my expectations.

Maximum sensitivity of ISO 1600, and an ISO-shift mode that lets you jack up the ... Read the complete review

Recently during a very steep learning curve I was given the opportunity to use the Canon Powershot S5 IS for a week and I was so impressed with it I bought one days later. Although I am very much an amateur there is enough functions ... Read the complete review
