I bought this camera 2 weeks ago from Amazon, it is absolutely amazing.

Having previous owned a Kodak 2mega pixel digi camera I wanted a serious upgrade, I went for the best I could afford, namely the new S50. With over 5million pixels it is truely outstanding.

The features, functions and photo options are out of this world, there isn't a photo it won't take. I've already taken quite a few shots and have them up at home, you can't tell the difference between the quality on this and a professionally taken image - apart from problems caused by my ham fisted photography style!

This is the best camera available, read all the reveiws elsewhere if you don't believe me - there is very little faulting it. Some reviews talk about 'blue' shadowing on images in front of the sky, I have had no problems at all.

It is exceptionally easy to use, to learn and the control is very intuitive.

Drawbacks? Possibly size, OK it is not as small as an ixus, but it is much smaller than an slr style camera. Also the basic memory you get isn't great - buy a flash memory card
