A new Canon UA lens simultaneously yields hi-fidelity, superb clarity images, a remarkably thin body and an incredibly compact 3.6x optical zoom range.

A vast array of features is protected by a remarkably sleek, elegant and superbly finished compact body. Use the SLR-style Mode Dial on the top of the camera to shift quickly and easily between 13 different shooting modes including VGA movie and custom modes. Lossless RAW format file recording is supported for ultimate control.

Canon's DIGIC processor executes complex functions at high speed, delivering superb image quality, fast and accurate auto focus and up to 2 frames per second continuous shooting speed. iSAPS instantly analyzes the scene and makes adjustments even before the shutter release is pressed, optimizing exposure, white balance and auto-focus settings in every shooting situation.

The 9-Point Artificial Intelligent Auto Focus (AiAF) system automatically detects your subject from nine fixed focusing areas across the frame, keeping even off-center subjects in-focus. FlexiZone AF/AE lets you scroll the auto focus area around the frame to select the desired subject and weight exposure accordingly.

The camera prints directly to all PictBridge or Canon Direct Print compatible printers. Create beautiful, instant photo prints by connecting camera to printer and pushing the Print/Share button, which also speeds up uploads to any Windows PC.

Buttons… Canon have often used thumb wheels for selections on their cameras and the G7 is no exception. either can t afford an SLR, or just don t want the hassle of having to carry one around, then you really can t go far wrong with Canon s Powershot G6. While it has been replaced by the new G9, this camera is still a serious bit of kit. You get a reasonable 4x optical zoom, 7.1 megapixels, and a good range of aperture, from as low as f/2.0, so it s nice and fast, even in darker conditions. The screen isn t the biggest, it s about 2", but the great thing with this one is that you can flip the screen out, swivel it round and close it even backwards if need be.
