Now, I'm by no means a photographer but, like everyone in this day and age, I take hundreds of pictures on my iPhone so I decided to but a 'nice' camera.
From what I'd seen, Canon or Nikon was the way to go. I didn't do much research but this seemed like the best camera for me. And it's pink.
It's easy to set up and seems very sturdy. It fits comfortably in my coat pocket and isn't heavy or bulky. I've found that using the more 'advanced' settings drains the battery quite quickly - I doubt you could take this on holiday for a week or two and not have to take a couple of sets of spare batteries.
When using the zoom, the lens extends which is novel although it extends quite a way and makes the camera look odd if you zoom in the furthest.
It's easy to focus on a certain point and the camera doesn't get accidentally turned on in bags etc due to the recessed on/off switch. The video function is of high standard and you can use full zoom during shooting which I've not seen before on a camera.
Face recognition is good if the lighting is good. It can recognise up to 35 faces in a single frame.
The screen is high resolution and is very clear, ergo you can tell your image quality is excellent.
For it's price, it's one of the better cameras on the market.
