Canon Digital Ixus 850 IS ... I bought this camera in the summer (07) especially for my holidays in egypt and i was more than satisfied with the performance of the camera. The quality is very good especially for normal users (i.e. family); professionals might have a different opinion; Not only the size but also the user friendly interface are clear benefits of this camera. Quality I took pictures in the sunniest conditions and in bad weather conditions. Both conditions do not really have a influence of the camera as it still delivers great quality. Canon EOS 350D ... brother bought this, the Canon EOS 350D and after seeing the exceptional results I couldn t help but have a play round with it (all in the name of research!) HANDLING Picking the camera up for the first time, it s easy to feel the difference between this and it s predecessor the Canon Eos 300D. It now feels more robust, slightly lighter and more compact. Infact one of the first things I noticed about this camera was how small it was. It is bigger than your regular digital camera but for these kind of professional ones it s small enough for even me with my tiny hands to operate easily. Canon EOS 350D ... light and compact, this camera makes for an ideal personal D-SLR. It s an excellent cross over point for those that want more from their camera than a compact can give them, but are not in the market for a professional D-SLR. Mine has seen a lot of use since I first got it and the only complaint that I now have is that the scroll wheel that is used for adjusting the metering and shutter speed has become very stiff. My LCD display has gained a few scratches along the way, so a cover like Nikon provide would be a very useful option. Using the faster CF cards allows for around 20 continious shots before it starts to slow making it excellent for moving targets, especia...
