Canon EOS 1000D:
... Canon EOS 1000D is an excellent entry level camera. I bought it in September 2008 for £384 with the 18-55mm lens and a £50 cashback from Canon themselves. The picture quality is excellent with a basic range of settings that are excellent for beginners to learn the ropes of photography. The build quality and reliability of this Canon is very good and i have had no problems or faults with it what so ever. Battery... Canon EOS 1000D ... was bought a Canon EOS 1000D for my birthday over 6 months ago and as an entry level Digital SLR I find it does everything you can ask from it and more. At first the shape of the camera took me some getting used to but once I got sorted with that I found everything else quite easy to adjust to. After you have used the camera for an hour or two the camera becomes alot easier to use with all the buttons in the right places making it alot easier for you to quickly adjust any settings for quick snapshots if needed. I mostly use the camera for Macro photography and find the AV setting on the camera works alot better than I could have imagined for this style of photography... Canon EOS 1000D ... have owned this camera for approx 2-3 months and i cant fault this at all. I am a beginner photographer and it does me down to the ground. I bought this from Argos at the time with the lens package for a very VERY reasonable price. think it was £340 but not sure. At the time i was considering this or the 450D which was an extra 150 quid and to be honest im glad i went with the cheaper. Just gave me a chance to buy extras for it. The interface is easy to read on the camera, you know exactly how to change settings and know exactly what to press. Software is alright although i have only used it to import RAW files at the moment. I previously used the 400D and i personal... Read the full review: Great budget beginner by heez |

Canon Powershot A460 ... I remember this wee thing. I got one of these from Tesco a few years ago for about £120, brand new. Obviously it will be a lot cheaper now, but it had only been out for a few months at the time. Ok, so it isnt that old, but I havent used it in a wee while. If I remember correctly it was my first camera, and one of the reasons I got into Macro photography. It s quite a good wee thing, great size, easy to carry around with you. It doesnt take ages to turn on (unlike some) so you can use this to get a good photo in seconds. It comes in a range of different colours, mine was pink, so it s a great camera to accessorize with! Not a bad choice for your first camera, for ... Read the full review: Not a bad picture by JellySplat |
