When I use it in combination with a tripod I can create some great effects, especially landscape and natural world shots. The controls allow me to manipulate photographs at source and then finish the job on the PC. This digital camera has surpassed my expectations in its all round abilities and value. Canon EOS 450D ... purchased the EOS 450D during a visit to the United States, they call it the Canon Rebel XSI over there. It was my first Digital Single Lens Reflex camera (DSLR) and as such I was nervous of choosing the right model, particularly with the expense involved. I should have not worried, the Canon EOS 450D with its range of settings, is accessible to both New and more experienced photographers, it can act as a point and shoot and will automate the whole process, producing better shots than a standard DSLR, but at the same point, you can begin to tinker with aspects such as Exposure length, Lighting, Focal Points. Canon Powershot A480 ... recieved the Canon Powershot A480 for my birthday. So far it has been fantastic. It is very easy to use, the picture quality is good and I have found the general navigation around the options menu easier to use than other cameras I have tried. To start off with the display of buttons on the back of the camera is very simple and it is obvious what function each button serves. From this it is easy to navigate the menu on the camera, for example to delete a photo all you have to do is slide the wheel at the top to look at the photos you have taken and then shuffle through each in turn to see if you want to delete it.
