Canon EOS 1000D ... Canon EOS 1000D is an excellent entry level camera. I bought it in September 2008 for £384 with the 18-55mm lens and a £50 cashback from Canon themselves. The picture quality is excellent with a basic range of settings that are excellent for beginners to learn the ropes of photography. The build quality and reliability of this Canon is very good and i have had no problems or faults with it what so ever. Battery life is also very good and you can easily have a day out without worry of your Canon dying on you. For the price i feel it has all the functions you need to take excellent photographs and would definately recommend it to friends or family if looking to buy a... Canon EOS 1000D ... was bought a Canon EOS 1000D for my birthday over 6 months ago and as an entry level Digital SLR I find it does everything you can ask from it and more. At first the shape of the camera took me some getting used to but once I got sorted with that I found everything else quite easy to adjust to. After you have used the camera for an hour or two the camera becomes alot easier to use with all the buttons in the right places making it alot easier for you to quickly adjust any settings for quick snapshots if needed. I mostly use the camera for Macro photography and find the AV setting on the camera works alot better than I could have imagined for this style of photography... Canon EOS 1000D ... have owned this camera for approx 2-3 months and i cant fault this at all. I am a beginner photographer and it does me down to the ground. I bought this from Argos at the time with the lens package for a very VERY reasonable price. think it was £340 but not sure. At the time i was considering this or the 450D which was an extra 150 quid and to be honest im glad i went with the cheaper. Just gave me a chance to buy extras for it. The interface is easy to read on the camera, you know exactly how to change settings and know exactly what to press.
