Canon Powershot A95 ... camera is awesome. I upgraded from a Fuji camera and it was well worth the money. The Canon A95 uses 4 AA batteries, but it eats through normal alkalines way too fast. The swivel screen is a major plus, it s 1.8" compared to 1.5" from the Canon A70. The screen is also higher resolution than the A70. I have used the camera for 6 weeks and printed about 90 pictures so far. The pictures look great and I even cropped to zoom in on some pictures and you couldn t see any sign of pixelation. I love the manual flexibility with this camera, plus the automatic modes make it easy for anyone to use. The camera has a nice solid feel to it and fits well in the hand. ... Canon EOS 400D ... a first time DSLR, the Canon EOS 400D is perfect to satisfy an interest for photography or to just capture moments beautifully. General point and shoot photography is easy with the auto setting which saves on hours of reading the tricky manual and still produces good results. Personally I use the automatic programme setting (P) so I can change the ISO, focus and white balance (amongst other features) depending on the lighting, subject and effect desired. Other settings are pre-set for the type of picture you re taking such as movement, landscape, close up etc and the icons shown on the camera body itself are extremely helpful so you rarely need to consult your manual. ... Canon Powershot A1100 IS ... and making some money for charity which a lot of members know is what I do now. Many of the cameras that are given to me to test or that are used around my camera club are DSLR`s but not all, and the review I bring to you today is one of a compact camera with a big name, the camera in question has a big name in two ways, one it is a canon and names in photography do not come much bigger than Canon but also it has the long title of the Canon PowerShot A1100 IS. This compact camera is taking compacts to a new level or at least trying to, with its 12.1 megapixel sensor and its optical viewfinder, trouble is the lens lets the sensor down and the viewfinder is a bit sma...
