Description: Model ID EX-S3 / Casio EXILIM EX-S3 - Digital camera - 3.2 Mpix - supported memory: MMC, SD / The EX-S3 is a new model in Casio's acclaimed EXILIM range of card-sized LCD digital cameras. Its unique design and stylish appearance, combined with advanced technology, has made ... more
Casio Exilim EX-S3 ... the EXILIM range a great hit with style conscious consumers and celebrities. The EX-S3 retains many of the original features that have made EXILIM so popular, but packs a resolution of 3.2 million pixels and several significant added features. Crucially, the EX-S3 builds on the popularity of the EX-M2 by allowing users to attach sound to video clips. Despite the added features and increased resolution, the EX-S3 manages to retain it's distinctive EXILIM "credit card size" of 57 mm height, 89.5 mm length and 11.7 mm width, thanks to Casio's stack MCM mounting technique. At approximately 72 g in weight, it is also the lightest 3-megapixel digital camera.

The EX-S3 features Casio's own digital interface for clearer display images, with a large 2.0" TFT LCD that can be used both as a viewfinder for composing images, as well as for playback of your images instantly. The ability to integrate short movies with sound is a well-loved feature on the EX-M2 and, as such, has been incorporated into the EX-S3. Users can now record video clips up to 30 seconds long, with accompanying sound. The EX-S3 even features Casio's quick response feature that has become a trademark for all its digital cameras. Casio's unique technology enables the camera to power up and be available to shoot in just 0.9 seconds. Original Casio technology also enables a shutter release time lag of 0.01 second, resulting in almost instantaneous image capture after pressing the shutter release button.

A new cradle design allows the 2" LCD to face the user as images are being downloaded. The built-in Photo Stand feature, via one-button access, also enables users to view images saved in the memory on an "automatic slide show". Picture Reversal assumes that there is no need to flip your camera over when you want to share images with another person. Press a button and the camera flips the image for you. The camera will store and display images in date order on a unique calendar system, which lets you see which images you have taken and when, in a month to view format, providing a handy visual record of your activities. Casio's famous BEST-SHOT function has been extended to the EX-S3. With fifteen pre-programmed settings, quality images are almost guaranteed whatever the environment. Casio's "Coupling Shot", for instance, allows two subjects to be placed together in a single image, without the need to enlist the help of a passing local. The "Pre-Shot" scenario allows image guidelines, such as the background scenery, to be composed and captured before a final image is stored in the memory.

Premium Review Everything you could ask for in a digital camera (691 words)

Casio Exilim Ex Z40 - Everything you could ask for in a digital camera I bought this camera because I had got to a point where I was fed up with the low resolution of the images which I was getting from my cheap and cheerful little digital camera, and fed up with having to carry around the bulk of my regular camera and film to go in it. After a lot of research I decided to go for this camera, at the best price I could find - from www.7dayshop.com. I was not disappointed. SIZE – One of the main things I wanted in my camera was that it should be compact. I was immediately stunned when I opened the box. From the front this camera oozed elegance, sophistication and ...

Casio Exilim EX Z4

Crowned Review Slim design without loss of camera quality! (944 words)
by auzziedave - written on 10/03/04 (Very useful, 725 readings)
Rating:

The Casio Exilim EX-Z4 is a very well made digital camera that doesn't lose quality of picture due to it's slim design. This is one problem we have seen on the digital camera market. Camera's that are very slim but lack a decent optical zoom and pixels. Well this beast performs well with a 3x Pentax Optical zoom lens and a superb 4million pixels, plenty for producing larger prints. The camera also comes loaded with a 4x digital zoom for getting that bit closer to the action, but with any digital zoom you have to expect a lower standard of quality. The camera captures the images in the standard JPEG format ensuring you get the best quality pictures without ...

Premium Review bargain hunter (448 words)

Rating:

was at first dubious of spending so much money on a camera and was thinking of ways to justify my purchase. But I had no need to fear as the Casio EXZ4 was a good choice. Before I went and bought this camera all I knew was that I wanted a digital camera that was easy to use, a good investment, no less than 2million pixels and looked cool. So, I went into a few shops and was totally lost at the sight of SO many cameras, which one was right for me? So, I went home and did a bit of research on the internet. A few proffessional sites commented that the casio EXZ series gave a bluish tinge to the photos so I was a bit put off at first, however, I asked around in a few ...
