I love this camera, it has a great 7.2 mp that you can use to capture special moment and great video quality, you could never put it down or stop using think of it as your favourite book or TV program. You will be amazed truly it cant be better. It has million of features that cannot be forgotten. As well as that the one i used was waterproof and it had a special mode for that . I am travel a lot of the the feature suite me and if suites me then it will suite you. You have portrait, portrait with landscapes, it can upload thing quickly to you tube when you every select that option. You can always rely on it to impress you every day a little bit more. If you brought this you will make a pro look rubbish. This is truly a great camera.
The camera was sold to me on the proviso that 'it would last' and I haven't been disappointed. Approaching age 4 and it still works as well as ever. So it's not the most technical, up to date model around but it's perfect for simply taking photos, whatever the occasion. It's light and stylish with a reasonably wide viewing screen that shows the photos at a high resolution; the 'auto-flash' is very receptive to light changes and so the photos always come out in high quality.
The menu functions are fairly standard with options for different 'occasions': of these I reckon the 'night portrait' leaves a great photo finish as it focuses equally on the people and background. The 'auto' option is perfect for everyday shots (and can always be altered once on the computer anyway). As a minor disappointment, the zoom isn't of great quality and when the photos are uploaded onto the computer they appear slightly more blurred than when they were on the camera itself; however, my recommendation of the product is for the 'amateur photographer' and for general purposes, the zoom doesn't cause much of an issue.
In terms of the video setting, I have only one complaint and that is that the memory card supplied with the camera is only 4MB and therefore only a limited few minutes of film can be stored. This is obviously a simple obstacle to overcome as memory cards for this model are easy to come by, just at a price. Generally, the videoing is clear and the camera has an auto anti-shake function which is effective at reducing unwanted movement.
It's really just a simple, good quality camera that I recommend thoroughly for everyday use. Despite it probably being about time for me to buy a new one, I don't see the necessity as this has proved reliable and produced some great shots!
I bought this Casio Exilim to use to take some snaps on holiday. It has been reliable so far. The only time it didn't work was when I forgot to charge the battery up. It comes with one lithium battery as standard which I found worked for approximately 5 to 6 hours of heavy use.
Processing pictures is quick and easy. The camera comes with a USB adapter that one end plugs in to the camera and the other in to the computer. The computer then reads the camera and normally opens up a folder to check all the recent snaps I took. These were painlessly easy to print off or save to a different folder just by dragging and dropping the photos over.
It is easy to use. The interface is not complicated at all. It's all very straight forward and the display is nice, bright and the screen size is just about right to take and view photos. There is a button with a camera symbol when pressed directs you to taking photos and another button next to it to direct you to viewing photos, which is uncomplicated to use.
It guess it's called the Exilim because it is slim in size. If you're like me and don't like to carry loads of things around it fits easy in to my pockets. It features automatic flash and boasts 7.2 million pixels.
The biggest downside is that the picture quality is not the best. It can take blurry and out of focus pictures. Even when I stood dead still and made sure I wasn't moving, the pictures still seem to come out blurry. It depends as well. Some days I got blurry pictures while other days I got half decent ones.
I was bought this camera for Christmas 3 years ago and I loved it from the minute I started using it. It's not as bulky as some other digital cameras on the market at the moment, the buttons are discreet but large enough to use with ease and the screen is of a fair/good size. The zoom on this Exilim is great, and works perfectly in many situations such as photgraphing scenery, people, animals or objects. There are also many different settings on the camera (sundown, flowing water, objects, people, nighttime, backlight plus many more) all of which help when trying to get a good shot of what you are taking a picture of. The review of photos is very quick and deleting/zoom is easy to use. The battery is easy to charge and also easy to remove and replace, as is the SD card. The movie function is also very easy to use, however if you have zoomed in before starting to record you cannot zoom out whilst recording.
Overall, this camera is stylish, easy to use and it is easy to transfer your data onto other media.
I bought this camera a while ago, it was reduced substantially which was the main reason I bought it. I loved it! The picture quality is excellent and it's very easy to use - with the battery lasting plenty of time. I bought it for a snowboarding holiday, it withstood bumps and the cold temperature.
One of the best features (in my opinion) is the video - this is because of it's high quality. We recorded quite a bit of boarding on the high quality setting and it was fantastic watching it on a PC.
The only reason I would rate it less than 5 stars is because the battery developed a fault. Apparently Casio know about this, but won't replace it outwith it's warranty period which I understand, but don't think is fair when they know it's an issue on their side.
It really is a good camera which takes excellent quality images and videos. I'd definitely recommended and just hope the battery doesn't go!
Wow - I love this camera. I have had it for about a year (possibly less, don't really remember), I love how it looks, it is the main reason I bought this camera, black and slim line meaning I can carry it everywhere but not so small that I will lose it it mt hangbag - Perfect!
It has a nice big screen, very useful when me and my friends want to review the pictures I've taken. I don't really use alot of the best shot functions, becasue I just never seem to need them, but they are excellent features and helps if your taken different types of pictures/backgrounds etc. I pretty much always use the quickshot option, which is brilliant.
The battery life seems to last for ever on this thing, it stays in my bag for days, sometimes weeks before it needs to be charged, it has never let me down in this respect. The video function is also very handy and great quality.
My only complaint with this camera, and his was also mentioned on the other review is the zoom feature. I expect the quailty to be a little poorer for a picture taken on zoom, butthe quality is so bad on the large zoom it isn't really worth taking.
Overall though, I really love this camera.
I find it hard to believe that I am the first person to write a review for this product, it has been out for quite a while now and is amazing so I dont see why people won't have told you yet! I got mine not last christmas but the christmas before and have used it pretty musch everyday since! I use it for everyday photos, A level Photography, Sports capturing, Sports filming and everyday filming and it never lets me down! Its slimline shape means its easy to carry about in almost all of my pockets, its quickshot photo taking means I can take a picture in under a second from clicking and its BS (Bestshot) button means I can choose from many surrounding environments and the camer will automatically adapt to create the best possible photo taking opportunity!
I have had cameras before but none are as reliable and simple to use, its shape and colour make it one of the most aesthetic to look at and its quick and easy memory change means you dont miss out on any amazing photo opportunities!
Its 7.2 Megapixel Lens means it takes high quality pictures, but it pays by using up alot of memory, on average around 5MB for the highest quality which means less photos can be taken unfortunately.
One fault I would mention though is that the zoom can zoom in far but it does not keep a clear image, it gets very pixelated very quickly so I find this camera works best when no zoom is used.
One effect I particularly like is the change between full flash and soft flash, it can make such a difference in dark close quarters areas to get the perfect lighting, so all in all there are almost certainly more positives then negatives and I do recommend it, but if you love to zoom then maybe this camera isn't for you, but I have been fine without it!
