BESTSHOT functions are practically pre-settings for different motifs and lighting conditions. The EXILIM Zoom EX-Z50 offers 23 BESTSHOT modes. You can also create, store and call up your own modes with BESTSHOT at any time. New: 2 integrated Business Shot programs for distortion-free reproduction of business cards and projection charts. For flash photos, the background often remains too dark and the motif is not fully illuminated. The solution: Flash Assist. With this function, the brightness of the motif is automatically enhanced. Changing between the normal focus and the macro range is really fast - with the Auto Macro function. The macro region, i.e. the close-up region of the EX-Z50, comprises distances between 6cm and 50cm. Before each photo, the camera measures the distance to the motif and automatically sets the right focal range. Every picture is thus crystal-clear, even close up to important details. Agreed that the spec will not set the world on fire but for a basic point & shoot, I find it hard to beat. I had an EX-Z30 for 2 years and it was reliable until I dropped it!
I think the best feature is its small size and as it will fit easily into a shirt pocket, there is no excuse to leave it at home.

one of the best things i could say with this product is that it is durable. the unit that i got is basically a second hand, i got it from my older sister. when it comes to handling electronic devices my sister is usually not good at it, but when i receive this unit it was still working at 100 %. the only problem though was with the batttery, but it makes since though, because the cam was with her at around 2 yrs. when it comes to taking pictures, there is really no certainty as to it would have a good or bad pictures. sometimes the pictures are blurry and sometimes they're not. when it comes to changing the settings, the interface is user friendly ... First of all let me say, this model is one of the most popular among my friends. I cannot really say why: none of them was really too amazed by the quality of pictures. Again, none of them had anything so bad to say about it. I guess being so average is what makes it good. I have to say, I am a bit dissapointed myself. I'd rather own a camera that is difficult to use but helps you make really beautiful pictures. This model is the other way around. It has everything to make pictures taking easy. Bestshot functions are understandable even for small children: during party, you choose party filter; when you take a picture of a flower, it's a flower filter you ... Read the complete review
