Advantages: BRILL PICTURE,EXCELLENT MENU,LOOKS CHIC AND STYLISH

Disadvantages: HARDLY ANY WHEN IT WORKS!!!!!!

the casio ex z120 is a wonderful looking,stylish and compact camera.i recieved one at christmas as a gift(from myself to myself!!)it takes the widely available sd memory card but has good memory itself.
the menu is so easy to work,and can change so many settings,such as battery type,it takes aa,(apparantly this affects performance!),frames,picture effects and quality of picture(alter the pixels!)
the software for the pc is also excellent with great editing and printing options!
there is also the dial which easily allows you to change the mode from still to quick snapshot or video.
i was really pleased with the camera and although quite expensive i reasoned that the great quality was worth it but hey as always too good to be true......after 7 months of usage it started playing up!

id bought some expensive lithium digital camera batteries a slong lasting and changed menu to accomodate these but camera started turning off and not switching back on for hours,which is no good so i took straight back to dixons who informed me that as over £130 it has to be sent to casio,so they sent it and after 2 weeks i get a call to say its back so i went to pick up and got told they reported no fault and after checking in the store as well it seems fine!

i bring the camera home,use it for 2 days and starts playing up again,whenever i turned the camera on i was having to go through set up menu of setting date,time,batteries etc!!!!which got annoying as by the time id done this my kids were sick of posing!!!!!
so i trailed back to dixons and saw the same man whod sent it off 1st time,he checked different batteries etc and couldnt work it out either,i explained that for the price of the camera i shouldnt have to set date etc everytime switch it on so he sent it off for a 2nd time!it took over 3 weeks to get it back so i was without a camera for my daughters 3rd birthday and a trip to seaside with the kids!
dixons then said that again casio reported no problems but in good faith they replaced the circuit board!
so instead of replacing camera they took time and money to take it apart and put new circuit board in!!!!
this may just have been a one off like i know you do get with some things and i got a bad camera(typical!!!)
but do i think the EX Z120 is good or bad???

all i'll sy is the 1st 7 months i had the camera when it worked fine it was best digital camera id ever had or used but it was ruined by the playing up of it!saying that its been perfect since came back but that was only 4 days ago!!!!!
so im hoping thats it and my new circuit board will cure it coz the ex z120 really is an excellent piece of digital technology and is anything anyone could want from a camera!

Summary: this is a magnificant peice of technology and although i had a bad one id buy another tomorrow!!!!
