I was looking for a cheap small camera as my old Sony cybershot was stolen before a trip abroad, so I opted for the Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z70. The camera surpassed all expectation and I was so impressed it has been my main camera for few years now.
The camera is a dense, compact camera that feels very good quality for the price paid. The buttons and switches all feel solidly made and very easy and clear to use. The size of the camera means it fits snugly into a trouser pocket so its brilliantly portable, making it the ideal choice for holidays.
The camera software is sometimes hard to decipher but its basic graphical display means you can always work it out. That is however the only slight concern about an otherwise easy to use camera. I would highly recommend this camera for anyone looking for a cost effective, stylish yet practical digital camera.
All round a very good camera, the TFT on the reverse is large and bright, by tweaking you can remove all the clutter and just have a large point and shoot target frame.
The build quality is superb, brushed metal with minimal plastic. The image quality once downloaded to your PC is equally good, for a point a shoot you can't ask much more.
I would recommend a few additions when buying this camera, a solid 2GB+ Kingston SD card, a Krussell travel camera case and make sure you put the wrist strap on so as not to dent that beautiful finish! Combine all these little things with the Z70 and you get a superb and affordable digital camera!
The button layout is standard, and easy to master, the software even has idiots guide to lighting so you just select what the situation for your picture to take is and it does the rest.
One point to note if you are not using it for a long time and leaving it in a draw then remove the battery otherwise it will go flat.
This camera actually belongs to my brother but since my camera broke I've been using this Casio offering quite a lot! It's actually a pretty good wee camera for the money, I was pleasantly surprised!
The camera takes very good photos outdoor in good lighting conditions but it is let down slightly indoor. The flash doesn't have a wide range of control so sometimes, unfortunately your image is a bit too white. The LCD screen is more than good! The thing is huge and really does show up a nice crisp picture.
One downside to this camera is the lack of a viewfinder. In very bright conditions it is sometimes difficult to view the screen. This is a small gripe though and for a point and shoot camera it is no biggie.
The camera lacks really powerful software and setting customisation that more expensive brands such as Cannon and Panasonic offer but if you're not into fiddling with settings then this may be a great camera for you!
I'd recommend this camera to anyone seeking a relatively cheap point and shoot camera with a good resolution, at 7.2mp it takes a good sharp image but the optical zoom of 3x is nothing to shout about.
When I first started university three years ago, I was looking for a digital camera to take with me. And I came across this Casio. And three years later I am still using this camera and I have not had a single problem with it. The camera is completely user friendly. I take it out with me almost everywhere, as it just slips into bag or pocket, it is a very stylish, modern and slimline camera. Its really easy to transfer the photo's from the camera to my laptop or getting them processed straight from the memory card. There is also loads of features on the camera, but to be honest, I am really happy with just clicking away with it, on the automatic flash. The one really good thing that I would like to say about this camera is the quality of the photographs. Unlike some other cameras that I have tried, there is no fuzzyness to the quality of the photo's, they are always perfectly sharp and clear. There is only one slight disadvantage to this camera, and that is when taking photographs at night time/ in the pitch black, the quality does seem deteriorate, as there is a slight blurryness. Although, this doesn't effect me very much, as usually when I take photo's there is usually always some sort of light around.
I would definitely recommend this camera!
I got this camera for my 21st from my boyfriend it is my favourite present although i did choose it myself he just payed for it.. i had spent months looking for a new digital camera but i never found one i really liked as i wanted a slim camera which would fit in my handbag for when im out drinkin. Also i wanted one which had a few different modes to capture pictures so i could get the best pictures possible. i fell in love with the casio exz70 camera as soon as i saw it as it was exactly what i was looking for as it was slim and was black in colour which i thought looked stylish and funky.
this camera is great as in the menu it has a best shot option which allows you to choose which kind of photo you are taking so that you can take the best picture possible. you can choose from 33 options including anti shake, fireworks, night scene, party and sports.i found this really useful as it meant i could take great pictures just by choosing the type of photo i shall be taking.
with the camera you can also capture movies. these movies come out in great quality and it has a built in speaker which gives very clear sound as some of my previous cameras havent had very clear sound.
the camera comes with a lithium battery which is rechargeable which i really like as my previous camera used aa batteries so i used to spend a fortune on batteries. also i find that the battery lasts a very long time as i was at a wedding dance and had my camera on most of the time and it lasted all nite. also the battery does not take long to charge as it normally takes about 1-2 hours and lasts a very long time.
i bought this camera from asda for £130 which i thought was great value for money as my camera came with usb cable, battery, battery charger, memory card, strap, cable to watch movies on tv and a carry case.
I would recommend this camera to people as it has a lot of great features to make sure you get the most out of the camera and the best photos. also i find it a very easy to use camera as the menu is very simple and finally it is a very stylish and funky camera which is slim so is easy to take anywhere with you.

This camera is the best camera I have owned. It has many functions and is very stylish. It takes excellent pictures and is very affordable.
As some of you may know it was my birthday on Saturday and my fab husband to be brought me this mean piece of kit.
I have read a few of the other reviews on this product and they just haven't done it justice so I have decided to air my opinions about it.
This camera is ideal for me as I am quite an amateur where cameras are involved and this camera is very easy to use. My camera came as a package : Battery charger, power cord, USB cable, AV cable, Strap, Software, Carry case, 258MB SD card. Purchased from Asda for £130.00 I also got 50 free digital print to use at Asda.
My other two cameras work on AA batteries and they don't last very long especially on a day out. This camera solves that problem as it has its on lithium rechargeable battery and comes complete with the charger it only takes 90 minutes for it to fully charge and has kept me going all weekend.
I think this camera is very stylish, its black in colour with grey and silver features. Very slim and light approximately 3.8"(W) x 2.4"(H) x 0.78"(D) weighing just 4.2oz (118g). Great for in a small handbag or pocket. The buttons are very clear and simple to use.
This camera has many functions and settings so I have just picked a few which stand out to me, you can find a full spec on many other sites.
It has a extra large LCD screen (2.5") in full colour so you can just point and click. I have noticed that there is no view finder but I assume this is not needed due to the crystal clear view on the LCD. It has 7.2 mega pixels, 3 x Optical zoom and a built in flash with five settings ON/OFF, Soft flash, Red eye, Auto flash.
Other settings are date/ time, self timer, anti shake.
Easy mode is great for when you are not very confident using technology once you have selected easy mode from the menu and turned it on it is very easy!! If you then go to menu you will find a simple menu with just the basic options (flash, self timer, image size) Then all you do is point and click. You cannot use the best picture function though if you are in easy mode.
You can change the quality of picture and size of all you pictures the lower the quality the more pictures you get on you memory card.
On the set up menu you can choose to change a number of settings: sounds, start up, file number, time stamp etc.
I personally like the sound function you can change the sounds which the camera makes when you are doing different things: start up, half shutter, shutter and operation.
Each have five different sounds or you can have them turned off there is also a volume control. I liked this because I choose a funny noise for the half shutter so when I'm just about to take a picture it makes a funny noise which attracts my children's attentions so they are looking at the camera when I take the picture.
There are 33 preset setting which you can use which saves you changing all the lighting and settings when you are in different locations. These can be found when pressing the BS button (best picture) below are just a few examples.
Auto - This setting is a standard setting once you have selected this you can still adjust the flash settings.
Scenery - Changes the sharpness to hard & high saturation
Portrait with scenery - Enhanced flesh tones
Children - Enhanced flesh tones and a fast shutter speed
Auction - Perfect for ebay records small size images
Of course you can set all of these manually yourself but this was a lot simpler and straight forward for me. Once you have taken you picture you can add a voice over to it by using the dubbing tool, it is very easy and is excellent when using the slideshow function.
One of the fantastic things about having a digital camera is that you can see your picture straight away after taking it and if it isn't what you want simply delete it and take it again. When you want to look at your picture just press the play button and they will appear, if you want to show someone else your pictures you can select slideshow which will save you having to click the button to change to the next picture to access slideshow simply press menu when your in the play mode.
I love this function because it makes your pictures look really professional the way it changes to the next picture especially if you are playing it back through the television using the AV cable. You can change the interval between pictures from 1 to 30 seconds and there is also a choice of five effects which gives you different styles of changing to the next shot.
The camera can also records short movies up to 3.13 minutes with full sound thanks to the built in microphone, you can also play these back on the LCD screen with sound as it also has speakers! They too can be played as part of your slideshow which is fantastic if you have had a day out and used both movie and pictures. When you have downloaded the movie to your computer the quality of the picture and sound is amazing!
My husband to be was really sweet and recorded him and the children singing happy birthday on my camera so I was able to download that and add it to my birthday folder on my computer along with all my pictures. You can also record reminders on the calendar.
This is much much more than a camera I love it for all of the above reasons. I would definitely recommend people to buy this camera.
I have included some pictures to hopefully help you make that purchasing decision, just so you are aware pictures were taken with my mobile phone so sorry if they are not very good lol
Thank you for taking the time to read my review
