Advantages: Easy to use, good Casio customer service

Disadvantages: Battery gave up after almost 18 months

After forgetting to pack our camera to go on honeymoon we ended up buying this at Manchester Airport for less than £100 in June 2007.

It is silver in colour and very compact. It has a highest setting of 7.2 megapixels and 3 x optical zoom. You can also take short movies with it as well.

The pictures are taken in .jpg and the movies are taken in .avi.

The camera did not come with a memory card but we have a 512mb card in ours and that is sufficient to take pics at 7.2mp for a 2 week holiday.

You can easily change the settings for the camera - just press the directional button down then up to select to change it to 5mp, 3mp, 2mp, VGA, 3:2 ratio and 16:9 ratio. It also tells you the pixel size of the picture and to select it you just press the set button.

You also just press the directional button down to change the flash settings.

Other features include self timer, anti shake, ISO sensitivity and auto WB.

It also has a Best Shot button where you can select to take short video clips with sound which I find are of good quality for uploading to the likes of YouTube etc but you can also select the type of photo you are taking, for example it will set the camera for taking pictures for auction listing, scenery, sports, fireworks plus many more.

It comes with a special rechargable battery and charger. Recently we found that our battery would not charge so we contacted Casio directly and after exaplaining the problem they sent us a replacement battery free of charge. I am happy with the service we received from them in rectifying the issue.

Overall the camera takes good quality stills and short videos - however they are no where near as good as my husbands DSLR! But for a compact it is good.

Summary: We are happy with the camera and happy with the customer service received from Casio.
