Casio QV-3500EX

So Far Not Impressed (604 words)

Rating:

QV 3500 is the direct successor of the camera QV 3000. If they put near, they will look as two brothers-twins. From apart only strict black color of body allows distinguishing QV 3500. When closer look it becomes clear, that outwardly camera has not undergone any modifications: it is the same body, same optics and, is probably, as would show it opening, same matrix. However, I did not open camera and believe to the manufacturer. Thus, it is the camera in body 3000 with optics from Canon and matrix ICX252 from Sony. In appearance there are two small modifications: the window of infrared port has disappeared and instead of a decorative ring around objective a ring with ...

Premium Review A good camera at last (550 words)
by andycharger - written on 09/01/02 (Very useful, 90 readings)
Rating:

Well they have now gone back to what they know best, digital technology, and mixed it in with one of the best cameras around today. The QV 5500 is just one of a larger range of cameras but this is one of the best. It is typical of cameras of the higher price bracket with digital technology included. The resolution of its imagery is so sharp. With a specification of up to 4 Megapixels. This equates to giving you a maximum range of 2,240 by 1,680 pixels. Talking in quality terms, it is the equivalent to a traditional print of some 18cm x 12cm. What I like best about it is its realism for amateur photographers. You have complete control over aperture and ...

What to do when the sun is shining? (1022 words)
by - written on 18/10/01
Rating:

Casio QV-7000SX offers a mixture of creative ideas and less robust design solutions. Casio QV -7000SX is rather large camera. The main reason is 2,5 inch LCD, which takes a big part of the backside of the camera. The huge ledge for pins of the right hand allows keeping a device rather strong and conveniently, however revolving optics does not keep any place for the left hand. And generally, it is necessary always to be cautious to avoid of tangency's to that part, where is optics, as just gauges of an exposition and focussing, and also flash there are located. The revolving disk located on the right at the top of the camera, is used for choice one from ten ...
